ICPAS Member Joshua Lance Selected for 2017 AICPA Leadership Academy
The Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) has announced that Joshua Lance, CPA, CGMA and ICPAS member, has been selected as one of only 38 nationwide participants in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) 2017 Leadership Academy.

The Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) has announced that Joshua Lance, CPA, CGMA and ICPAS member, has been selected as one of only 38 nationwide participants in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) 2017 Leadership Academy. Lance was selected based on his exceptional leadership skills and professional experience for the four-day Leadership Academy program, October 1-5 in Durham, N.C.
Lance is the founder and managing director of Lance CPA Group, based in Chicago. He has been an active member of the Illinois CPA Society’s Young Professionals Group and has served in leadership roles on the Society’s Young Professionals Leadership Awards and Accounting Principles Committees.
“In obtaining his CPA credential and going on to build his own successful practice, Joshua Lance is a shining example of everything CPAs can achieve,” said Todd Shapiro, President & CEO of the Illinois CPA Society. “We are very proud of his accomplishments and excited that he is being honored on a national scale by the AICPA.”
The AICPA Leadership Academy was designed to strengthen and expand the leadership skills of promising young professionals while they network with a peer group of talented and motivated CPAs. Participants are selected from public accounting firms of all sizes, business and industry, education and government.
The 2017 Leadership Academy class is a diverse group featuring an equal number of females and males. Attendees were recommended by their employers, state CPA societies or both.
